Part 1 -The Case for Print-your–own Albums

A pile of photos - or a well-designed album which you can be proud of?

A pile of photos or a well-designed albumWhy pay to go to a photo lab and either put up with boring 6x4" prints - or pay the earth for a printed album - when you can produce beautiful bound photo albums at home printed on your own inkjet printer?

Now you can create and print your own beautiful, memorable books of your holiday, wedding, party, your children and grandchildren – a scrapbook of a family or social event. All you need is a digital camera and an inkjet printer. You do it all yourself – no outside service!

In business OPUS Inkjet Photo Albums are ideal for product presentations, portfolios or as a record of a business event.

If you put your 6x4 photos in a purpose made album

-                     the albums take up more space

-                     it’s difficult to add text – and almost impossible to add a story

-                     there is no variation to the look

So OPUS Albums are the answer

In 15 years time will your computer read today's DVDs - will Windows 2020 support JPG files?

Incompatible mediaWho knows what will be around in 2020?  We are told that in terms of technological developments “you ain’t seen nothing yet!”.So holographic memories?  Electronic paper?  - are these pie-in-the-sky or products to come?   Will you look at those pictures – relive those memories - if they are on a CD or DVD (will your computer or photo viewer even be able to read that CD, DVD or memory card in five years time?). Unlikely - your current computer cannot read a 5.25" floppy, a zip drive or a magneto-optic disk.   They are memories. They are uniquely YOUR memories. They have to be preserved in a more convenient easy and inexpensive way, preferably on non-fade archival paper, easily and economically printed - at home, your way, for your enjoyment and for you to share. One thing is for certain.  The printed page will still be around! So OPUS Albums are the answer

Print your own – or use an outside service?

There are many print service centres – why?

These companies can make money out of printing for you.  I am not saying that you should not use these services (in fact OPUSAlbums has responded to customer demand and set up its own service).  However consider the following.

Printing yourself is immediate - You format your album – 10 minutes later you have the printed results ready to show to your friends or give as a present.  With outside services 10 days is the norm!

  Print service

It is under your control - You can see what is being produced – you can make changes and print when you are satisfied.  You can start and stop your work whenever you like.  You can even make the album a co-operative effort.

It’s more fun  - A little more work – but you can enjoy it more.

It’s more flexible – Add to or change the album as you wish.  As your baby grows add to the story line.  As you have more to display – add to your presentation.  You find out the name of somebody in the picture – add it so that you will remember it in future.

Quality for Quality it’s probably less expensive – headline prices may be deceptive

The conclusion – print your own OPUS Albums.  We would say that, wouldn’t we!
