The events of a holiday form a story. Whether it is a three week adventure or a three-day short break, there is plenty of material to put it into a form that you will remember – and can look back on after years.
Printing your own albums is fun; and the results are so satisfying.
But which album to choose?
OPUSalbums.com recommends one of the following.
Print&Bind
For the majority of holiday pictures we recommend the OPUSalbums Print&Bind print-your-own album. It is quick, easy and economical; functional and, above all good looking – even beautiful. - 15 pages of quality photo-glossy paper, neatly bound into an elegant compact plastic cover. Pages can be added or removed at will. That's why we recommend a pack - you will be making more and more albums and giving them away as presents.
Typically you will want to put 4-8 pictures per page (vary them) – two on the title page – so 90 pictures to the album.
PhotoArt
If your holiday was longer (and therefore more pictures), you want to add quality, especially if you want to show off your photographic prowess, then we recommend the OPUSalbums PhotoArt album – 20 double sided pages (say 240 pictures). It has hard, museum board covers and a choice of professional quality Innova Art archival paper – soft textured, or smooth white cotton. I recommend the latter for holiday pictures.
Pics Book
Finally, for the ultimate in flexibility you have the Pics Book – as we say – far more than a photo book. You have a choice of covers – with various thicknesses up to 9mm (for up to 60 sheets – 720 pictures), a choice of paper – from standard uncoated inkjet paper – through quality digital photo (we recommend the double sided Olmec gloss paper) through to the full range of professional photo papers such as photo art papers above and the award winning Fibaprint™ photographic papers – beloved by the expert photo professionals.
The only downside of the Pics Book is that you have to invest in the Pics Book binding machine (the Unibind XU138) – but this is a worthwhile investment if you are more than a casual album producer. (It has many other office uses too – such as for proposals, reports and short-run books).
That’s an idea. You enjoyed your holiday. Now write and self-publish a book about it. You might even be able to sell it!
Have a good vacation. Take some wonderful pictures – then assemble them into an OPUSalbums album to relish, enjoy and share with your friends.
