Innova Décor - Conceived as an Economical Poster/Décor Paper - Accepted in Market for Brochures, Books, Cards and Jetmaster Mounts

 

 

You have not heard much form OPUSalbums.com recently. Over the summer we have had a lot on and it has been all we could do to keep on top of customer needs. However now that our orders are being handled from Epping rather than here I am able to spend more time talking to customers and communicating too. I might even get more time pursuing my favourite pastime - taking, editing and printing photos!

About Innova Décor Paper    

 

There is a new archival paper that I want to talk about - Innova Décor. It has been introduced as a poster art inkjet paper - but it is far more than that. In its double sided version it is ideal for brochures, tri-fold, albums and photobooks; as it is quite stiff it is good for greeting cards too. This is in spite of its being a relatively light paper - 210-220gsm   (There will be more in greeting cards in due course - well in time for Christmas!) -Click here to go directly to our site   

 

If you want to read more about it, have a look at my friend Keith Cooper's (Northlight Images) write-up. He has given it a good test and noted that it works well with Canon standard settings as well as Innova's profiles. So if you are not into colour management, then this paper is a plus. Keith compares it with the Epson

 

"It is white - but not super white - it looks and feels quite smooth, though on closer inspection is has a very light texture. It has a good gamut and is fine in both monochrome and colour. If a paper is to be all-things-to-all-men then this is it."

And a good thing - it is inexpensive!   A bit more than the Olmec papers, but a lot less than the Innova smooth cotton products of similar weight. Wide format users specially like this paper as the rolls are in 30 metre lengths.

By contrast if you take A2 Epson Ultrasmooth paper (250g I think, the Epson site does not say!) and cut to A4 it works out at £1.27 an A4  sheet ex VAT (Epson Store). 

 

Discounts are available for purchases of 250 or 1000 sheets bulk. Most papers are available in sizes from A5 and 8R/8x10 to A2 and for single side paper rolls fro 17 to 60 inch.                                   

 

James Canone, the sales manager of Innova told me that of customers which have switched to Décor - few have gone back.
