Stand out from the Crowd!

 

stand out One effect of the advances in software is that all of us have become creative designers.  Some reading this will be pros - more will be professional photographers - our main target market - but with the wealth of templates etc we can produce well balanced and well laid out documents

So how do we stand out from the crowd, in an ever increasingly competitive market?   The quality of printed documents must be one way.  Here are some suggestions using the products from opusalbum.com – documents you can design and print yourself with limited investment.


Nicely Bound Marketing Proposal or Consulting Report

Present your proposals and reports in professional looking covers.  This is the first impression.  If the ticket item warrants it, have a printed hard cover tailored  for your client.  It is not that expensive.


If you are producing more than 10 proposals a month then I would recommend using a Unibind binding system.  Instead of a soft stock cover from Staples you have your own designed hard cover, even personalised for the client.  Paper – which should be of good quality – is heat sealed into the book.  The appearance is one of value.  You value your customer and the customer values you.

Make that Design stand OUT.

paperYou are showing off the design of a new building – or examples of your own artistic or photographic work – or if you are a model, yourself.


First – your work should be on high quality archival paper. Consider the €corag Photo/Rag paper – it is ultra smooth with a very find surface to give great pictures – fine detail even in dark shadows.  Or splash out for one of the Innova papers – FibaPrint for digital photos, smooth cotton, textured or canvas effect.   You can make these up with the Pics Book Junior or have a ready album with our Photo Art or FlexAlbum ranges.

A fine Print


fine printWant your customer to mount one of your best pictures on the wall – with of course your sales message?  Make sure the photo is something that the customer will want to look at.  Then well printed in A2 or larger using one of our Innova or Olmec papers is great.  Use a protective spray or lamination.  But make sure that the customer does show it – follow up the mailing with a call – and say I’ll be round to see where you’ve put it.  When he is constantly reminded of your company he will be more likely to buy.

Use a Greeting Card for a Promotion

It’s my birthday today (4 June), so I guess cards are on my mind – but a greeting card can be used to promote a product or service.  If you want to make it distinctive then I would suggest the rough textured card – otherwise good quality Olmec paper is ideal. -  High quality photos on the outside – printed description and mini graphics inside. Use your own photos of course!
