Increasingly photographers are taking panoramic shots.  Many reflect the 16:9 aspect ratio used in modern widescreen televisions and videos, whist there are wider formats through 'stitching' techniques.   Why should photographers who print their own photos be limited to A4?

Also stiched photos are popular with a wider aspect ratio.  That is why we also have two sizes in 3:1.
