We sell a binding system and covers - www.opusalbums.com/unibind the Unibind System.
This has about 10 different cover designs in 4 sizes, in 5 colours, with 5 different windows, and 4 thicknesses. This means 10x4x5x5x4 = 4000 variations. I was speaking to a competitor the other day. They spent 3 weeks laboriously loading every one of these variations into their web shop and listing them in their catalogue. Awful for them - even worse for their customers. Using the Variations I consolidated it to one product line with 5 different sets of variations. It took me about an hour to set up. - and the customer sees the whole thing on one screen.
